How to get there: Public transport: Ecclesall Woods is served by public transport. For details contact South Yorkshire Traveline on Tel. 01709 515151. By car: Free parking is available off Limb Lane, Dore and adjoining Abbey Lane. You can also park on Abbeydale Road South (A621) and Whirlowdale Road.
Visitor facilities: Comprehensive network of rights of way, including bridleways. Some suitable for disabled visitors. Car parking on Abbey Lane and off Limb Lane, and small parking area available at Ecclesall Woods sawmill site, Abbey Lane with associated public toilet and small gallery selling locally made wood products, with free information including leaflets on the woodland. Information panels at main entrances. Green Flag Award 2009.
What to see: Wildlife, historical and archaeological features. Sheffield's largest ancient woodland, dominated by mature broadleaves
