Click here to see a map indicating hectares of LNR per 1000 population in each English Local Authority. The Accessible Natural Greenspace Guidance states that there should be at least one hectare of LNR per 1000 population.
Local Nature Reserves (LNRs) are for both people
and wildlife. They are places with wildlife or geological features
that are of special interest locally. They offer people special opportunities
to study or learn about nature or simply to enjoy it.
