Follow the brown signs from the A45 between Northampton and Wellingborough or the A509 between Wellingborough and Milton Keynes. Access to reserve is via car park off the Wollaston - Great Doddington Road.

Summer Leys is an example of how to create the right conditions for a variety of wildlife. This important wetland within the Upper Nene Valley is made up of flooded gravel pits, flood meadows, species-rich neutral grassland and mature hedges. Largest breeding colony of tree sparrows in Northamptonshire. A wide variety of wading birds and duck and large numbers of golden plover depending on season. Summer Leys is one of the best places in Northamptonshire to see the uncommon hairy dragonfly.
