What to see: Ruffet Wood is the more interesting of the two, as Big Wood is mainly semi-mature sycamore. The wood comprises mature ash, wild cherry and beech with ancient woodland species including: bluebell, sanicle, dog’s mercury and nettle leaved bellflower, adding interest for the visitor.
A network of paths provides an opportunity to explore this woodland oasis.
