How to get there: Main entrance is in Clockhouse Lane (B3003) off the A30 near Ashford, Middx.
Bus - route 116 to Bedfont Green, and a short walk to the Country Park. Route H26 connects Feltham, Hatton Cross and Heathrow Terminal 4 with the Country Park.
Trains - Feltham Station about 2 miles and Ashford Station about 1 mile.
Tube - Piccadilly Line to Heathrow Terminal 4, followed by a short bus or taxi ride.
Visitor facilities: Nature Reserve (Sunday pm only - unless a keyholder). Public Nature Reserve, bird hides, self-guided nature trail, healthy walking trails, information centre, toilets including for the disabled.
Car parking including disabled parking, programme of guided walks and other events, playschemes, etc. Fishing Lake (day ticket), adventure play area, dedicated dogs off lead excercise area, wide range of leaflets for the Country Park and other sites within the Borough.
Green Flag Award 2009.
What to see: Habitats include willow carr, reedbeds, lakes, scrub, neutral grassland/wildflower meadows and bare soil.
Over 350 species of plants including bee orchid, field scabious, lady's bedstraw, ox-eye daisy, black knapweed, wild marjoram, birds-foot trefoil, wild carrot and native black poplar. 156 species of birds including skylark, common tern, willow warbler, chiffchaff, whitethroat, blackcap, garden warbler, reed warbler, sedge warbler, linnet, bullfinch, reed bunting and hobby breed on site. Bittern, smew, pochard, tufted duck, teal, widgeon, shoveler, woodcock, common snipe, cormorant, meadow pipit, lapwing, fieldfare, redwing and a roost of about 3000 corvids in winter. 24 species of butterfly. 124 species of moth including 6 spot burnet, cinnabar, and goat moth. 20 species of dragonflies and damselflies. Grasshoppers include Roesel's bush cricket and long winged conehead. 58 species of spider and 97 species of fungi. Amphibians include common frog, marsh frog, common toad and smooth newt. 20 species of mammal including pipistrelle and Daubenton's bats, bank and field voles, wood mice, rabbit, fox and grey squirrel.
