How to get there: Located just 3 miles north of Plymouth and 7 miles from Tavistock and situated off the A386 between Yelverton and Roborough.
Visitor facilities: Car parking. Toilets (seasonal April - Oct), events, trails and walks.
New Cafe and Visitor Centre.
What to see: Habitats include saltmarsh, ancient semi-natural woodland, freshwater marsh, saltmarsh, semi-improved grassland, freshwater and estuarine habitats of the River Tavy.
See self guided walk leaflet. Birds include kingfisher, heron, little egret, 3 species woodpecker, tawny owl and sparrowhawk. Mammals include roe deer, otter and Atlantic grey seal. Fish include bass, salmon and sea trout. Invertebrates include grasshoppers, butterflies and dragonflies as well as Mysis shrimps.
