What to see: Gwithian Towans boasts some amazing flora and fauna which is nationally recognised through the Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) designation which runs from Gwithian to Mexico Towans. Host the declining species Skylarks, which nest in the dune grasses and butterfly populations are also very healthy on the Towans. On the cliffs, a small pond can be found which is home to newts and toads. Adders can also be found in the dune grassland basking in the sun during the summer months.
