What to see: Flood meadows alongside the River Crane which runs along the western edge. The site floods in winter. There are ox-bow lakes which have yellow flag iris, reed grass, reed sweet-grass, fool's watercress, water forget-me-not and water mint. The meadows have several locally uncommon species including cuckoo flower, bugle, ragged robin and dropwot. The site has 26 species of butterflies and 12 damselflies and dragonflies.
