How to get there: Between Afton Road in the north, and to within 100m of Freshwater Bay in the south.
Visitor facilities: Footpaths
What to see: The site is on the old flood plain of the River Yar and used to be grazing marsh. There are several types of wetland habitat on the site providing a home for a variety of plants and animals.
It is part of the Freshwater Marshes SSSI.

Volunteer and 'Friends of' groups: Wildlife Warriors who help to manage the Isle of Wight Councils LNR's
Tasks are usually arranged for the first Tuesday of every month, at various sites but please check details.
